On 20-21 February, the SCO foreign ministries held consultations on legal matters pertaining to SCO activities, chaired by Kazakhstan, at the SCO Secretariat in Beijing.
The parties discussed the overall status of the SCO’s contractual legal framework and exchanged views on how to improve it.
They provided specific information regarding the internal procedures carried out by their respective states in relation to international agreements signed within the SCO framework. Additionally, competent bodies responsible for implementing these agreements were designated.
The participants also shared information and experiences on the procedure for publishing SCO international agreements in their respective states, as well as how the SCO foreign ministries organise depositary work.
