On 14 March, New Delhi hosted a SCO workshop on Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR), as well as Risk Mitigation and Disaster Resilience.
During the event participants exchanged information on disaster management measures taken in the territories of the SCO member states.
They stressed the need to strengthen cooperation in jointly countering and promptly responding to natural disasters, including by engaging the armed forces and building disaster resilient infrastructure.
