On 4 and 5 March 2023, at the invitation of the Foreign Ministry of the People’s Republic of China, senior officials from the SCO Secretariat took part in opening annual sessions of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the National People's Congress of the 14thConvocation, respectively. In the People’s Republic of China, these events are officially called the Two Sessions.
