On 15 September 2022, SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming had a meeting with President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh on the sidelines of the SCO Heads of State Council Meeting.
Both sides noted the SCO’s growing influence and authority as an effective venue for mutually beneficial and diverse cooperation. They discussed issues of Mongolia-SCO interaction, including efforts to expand political, economic and cultural cooperation still further.
The Mongolian leader reaffirmed his country’s interest in expanding relations with the SCO in various fields, primarily trade and the economy.
