On 15 July 2022, Industry Ministers of the SCO member states held their second meeting in Tashkent. The meeting was held in a hybrid format and was chaired by Uzbekistan.
Deputy SCO Secretary-General Sohail Khan delivered a welcoming address to the participants of the event on behalf of the Secretary-General.
During the meeting heads of delegations exchanged views on the current condition and prospects for further interaction and development of industrial cooperation within the SCO.
The parties approved Regulations of the SCO Industry Ministers' Meeting as well as draft Programme for the Promotion of Industrial Cooperation among the business communities of the SCO member states with a view to signing it on the sidelines of the SCO Heads of Government Council meeting later in 2022.
